And mohair is between 24um to 40um, and the best grade of ultra-young mohair, or kids mohair, which is between 24um to 26um. It has good elasticity, pressure resistance and special luster. It is an excellent raw material for making plush fabrics.
The shape of mohair is similar to that of long wool, with a corrugated shape, smooth fiber surface, strong luster, high strength, good elasticity, less curl, light and fluffy hair, and easy to wash.
In general, mohair fibers are longer than cashmere, and it is less prone to pilling and shedding slightly.
The fibers of cashmere are short, and the surface of the cashmere sweater has a layer of fine, curly fluff that does not shed.
How to choose?
100%Cashmere knitwear is more expensive than mohair, but also better and more comfortable. Each style has its own advantages.
